TGIF

This afternoon was fantastic. Never mind the 56 hour week I put in... I have finally been offered a position in Washington DC by my agency. The immediate supervisor and Division Director have been trying to bring me on board since late last year (when budgetary issue put the kabaush on the move.) by I applied again earlier in the month and the committee made its decision this past week so my new Division Director gave me a call this afternoon.

Very, very excited. They have agreed to promoting me when they move me and I'll be getting a relocation bonus to boot.

So, next week my current bosses and my new bosses need to decide on a time table. I need to sell the place here and look for a place there - any DC area f-listers suggest decent areas to look? I get a week long house hunting trip, probably in late July/early August.

So, I get to move closer to friends and family and live in (around?) a cool city. Life is pretty good.
